StackAndSpeed is an independent publication about WordPress performance and hosting. We answer one question, over and over: what actually makes a WordPress site fast — and which products are worth paying for?
Why we exist
Hosting reviews are the most affiliate-polluted corner of the internet. “Best host” lists are usually ranked by commission size, not by load time. We built StackAndSpeed to do it the slow way: buy the plan, deploy a real WordPress site, run the benchmarks, publish the numbers — including the ones that make our partners look bad.
How we work
Every hosting review is based on a plan we paid for and a test site we deployed ourselves. We measure TTFB, LCP and full load time from multiple regions, repeat the tests over days (not one lucky run), and re-test quarterly. Who we are
Daniel Reeves — Founder & Lead Reviewer. Daniel has been building and speed-tuning WordPress sites for over a decade, from shared-hosting blogs to WooCommerce stores doing six figures.
