Our promise
Recommendations on StackAndSpeed are decided by our editors based on first-hand testing and published data — never by advertisers or affiliate partners. No company can pay to change a rating, a ranking, or a warning we believe readers need to see.
How we test
- We buy the plans ourselves. Hosting reviews are grounded in accounts we paid for, sites we deployed, and support tickets we actually opened.
- We publish the numbers. TTFB, LCP, load test results and uptime figures come from our own monitoring — with the testing methodology described in the article.
- We show our dates. Every review displays when it was last tested. When a host changes its stack or pricing, we update the article, not just the date.
How we make money (affiliate disclosure)
StackAndSpeed is reader-supported. When you sign up for a hosting plan or tool through links on our site, we may earn a commission from the provider — for example through the Cloudways partner program. This commission:
- costs you nothing extra — prices are identical to signing up directly (and sometimes lower, when we negotiate an exclusive discount);
- never determines what we recommend — we link to services we use ourselves;
- funds the hosting plans and testing tools that keep this site independent and ad-free.
Affiliate links on our site are marked with rel="sponsored" in accordance with Google’s guidelines, and articles containing them carry a disclosure notice at the top.
What we never do
- No pay-to-play placements or “sponsored rankings”.
- No recommending products we haven’t tested or wouldn’t use.
- No copying other sites’ benchmarks and presenting them as our own.
